Heavenly Banana Walnut Cream Cake 🍌🎂

Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup whole or halved walnuts (for garnish)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 banana, sliced (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups creamy custard (for filling and topping)

Instructions:

1. Prepare Cake Pans: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
5. Incorporate Bananas and Sour Cream: Mix in the sour cream and mashed bananas until well combined.
6. Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the chopped walnuts and white chocolate chips.
7. Divide Batter: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
8. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
9. Cool Cakes: Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
10. Assemble Cake: Once cooled, spread half of the creamy custard over the top of one layer. Place the second layer on top and spread the remaining custard over the top.
11. Garnish: Decorate with banana slices and whole or halved walnuts. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
