Creamy shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:

500g fettuccine pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
400g shrimp , shelled and deveined
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Lemon wedges, to serve

Directions:

Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and are slightly golden.
Add the garlic and chili flakes, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, stirring and cooking for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken.
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
Toss the pasta through the sauce, coating well.
Season with salt and pepper, then garnish with chopped parsley.
Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
